Adding A Breakpoint

You can add breakpoint anywhere in your code to make debugging.

Click the name of the simulated document in the sim group of Workspace window.

After this, you will see your project in the source window. To replace a breakpoint to your HDL code, left click the line that you will chose.

Red mark means that there is a breakpoint in that line. This breakpoint can be activated/deactivated or deleted by using the pop-up menu after clicking this red mark.

NOTE: The deactivated breakpoint marks color becomes black.

Click Simulate>Run>Restart or 4icon.

Click Restart button in the opened window.

Click Run-all 7icon.

You will see the program execution will stop at the breakpoints and an arrow at the line at your HDL code.
After this click Step icon to continue simulation step by step.
